A403 347H stainless steel covers the standard for austenitic stainless steel forgings for pressure piping applications. Materials for fittings shall include stainless steel forgings, stainless steel bar, stainless steel plate, or seamless or welded stainless steel pipe fitting products. Stainless steel forgings or forming operations shall be accomplished by hammering, pressing, piercing, extruding, upsetting, rolling, bending, fusion welding, machining, or by a combination of two or more operations.
All ASTM A403 WP347H stainless steel pipe fittings shall be heat treated. Chemical and product analysis shall be performed and shall conform to the chemical composition requirements for carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, silicon, chromium, molybdenum and titanium.
