310S stainless steel is an austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel with excellent oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance, and high temperature resistance. Due to the high percentage of chromium and nickel, it has much better creep strength, can continue to work at high temperatures, and has good high temperature resistance. Due to the high content of nickel (Ni) and chromium (Cr), it has good oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance, acid and alkali resistance, and high temperature resistance.
As the steel tube is made of many kinds of alloy components, it is very difficult to process hardness and cutting. It is mainly used to manufacture high-temperature superheater, high-temperature reheater, high-temperature section of platen superheater and high-temperature and high-pressure resistant tube parts of large power generation boiler with large pressure parameters and close to critical or supercritical.
These Stainless Steel ASTM A213 TP 310S Seamless Tubes has general corrosion resistance superior than SS 304 and SS 309. They might be susceptibe to chloride stress corrosion cracking, and has an easiness of fabrication.
